Marketing Writer | Client Services Representative


Marketing Writer
New York, NY

We are looking for a talented and experienced writer who will be able to communicate our message through a wide range of creative projects and delivery channels. The successful candidate will report to the CEO.

Key Accountabilities:
In addition to content management and document flow, the writer will be responsible for researching, writing, editing, proofreading and managing production of all market-facing documentation and collateral including technical, marketing and business development materials for both web and print.

Major Activities Include (but are not limited to):

Technical Writing
  • Develop web content including instructions, updates, online manuals and forms
  • Write scripts for videos, multimedia presentations, trade shows & speeches
  • The ability to transform technology concepts into reader-friendly client copy is essential.
Marketing Writing
  • Create copy for FAQs, fact/data sheets, brochures, advertisements, promotions, email and direct mail programs
Public Relations Writing
  • Write press releases, media advisories, backgrounders, articles and other related documents
  • Manage Invest Academy's Public and Media Relations efforts through regular contact with industry associations, journalists, analysts & publications
Skills, Qualifications and Requried Experience:
  • Candidates should have at least 6 months of related experience (by internship or actual working experience) in creating a wide variety of marketing and technical material.
  • The ability to develop quality material to meet tight deadlines is critical.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Applicants should have a general knowledge of web architecture and applications.
  • Experience with financial markets is strongly preferred.
Educational Requirements:
  • BA/BS in journalism, communications or marketing is strongly preferred but degrees in other related fields will be considered.

Client Services Representative
New York, NY

We are currently seeking experienced Client Services Representatives to work in our busy Client Support department.

Key Accountabilities:
The primary responsibility of the client services representative is to develop a positive client experience by understanding and meeting clients' service needs quickly, professionally and accurately. As the primary point of contact for our clients, the representative must provide exemplary customer service and recognize opportunities to proactively position our courses and products and services to better meet the client's needs.

Major Activities Include (but are not limited to):

  • Manage multiple inbound/outbound client support channels (i.e. phones, email, live chats, in-person)
  • Become subject matter expert on Invest Academy's courses curriculum and products
  • Effectively and efficiently manage each client interaction from first contact to resolution
  • Assist clients in registering to the right course for them, including consultation and monitoring student's academic needs. this may be in person or over the phone
  • Identify sales leads and refer clients as necessary
  • Resolve client problems in a professional manner, escalating issues as required
  • Participate in team meetings and our seminars

Qualifications:

Must Have
  • Basic market, investing and trading knowledge
  • Minimum one-year customer service experience in an extremely fast-paced, dynamic environment
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Exceptional organizational skills
  • Ability to diligently deal with issues until resolution
  • Ability to work effectively while managing several tasks
  • Problem solving and trouble shooting skills
  • Superior computer skills, especially MS Outlook and Excel
  • Flexibility to work rotating 8-hour shifts Monday-Thursday, 9 a.m.- 9 p.m. and Fridays 9 a.m.-5 p.m.
Nice to Have:
  • Experience with a discount or full service broker or investor education institution
  • Investing and trading experience
  • Previous experience with CRM software
  • Knowledge of foreign language (Especially Spanish)
